Stuart and Yemi Ballantyne

Stuart and Yemi Ballantyne are joining the ministry of Haven of Hope in Ghana with a primary focus on developing a foster care network in partnership with local churches and in cooperation with government authorities. This work represents a major step forward in ECM’s long-term transition from institutional care toward family-based care—ensuring that vulnerable children can grow up in safe, nurturing homes rooted in their own communities. By helping build the systems, training, and relationships needed for a sustainable foster care model, Stuart and Yemi will play a key role in shaping the future of child protection in Ghana.

In addition to their foster care work, the Ballantynes will strengthen ECM’s Family Empowerment and Next Step programs, both of which are essential to supporting families so children can remain at home whenever possible. Their gifts will also bless Haven of Hope children, where they will assist with French instruction and IT tutoring. Together, their ministry will help create a holistic, family-centered environment where children can thrive spiritually, academically, and emotionally.
