Richmond lives with his sister and his Aunt Bernice, who is his guardian. She does some small farming for a living. He went to live with his aunt because there are no educational opportunities in the deprived region in which his parents live. Thankfully, even though Richmond was born with albinism, he is healthy in every way. Though he really needs sunscreen to protect his skin. He also had a late start to school and needs some encouragement to work hard to become the young man God created him to be!
