Joseph comes from a large family of eleven siblings, of which he is the youngest. Sadly, his father used to work as a fisherman, but is now paralyzed and cannot work. His mother picks up odd jobs to try to provide for the family, but it’s never enough. The large family all sleeps together in a small one room house. Joseph and his older brother Stephen came into the ECM sponsorship program as young boys. Joseph has a sponsor who has supported him up through JHS 3. None of his older siblings were able to acquire any form of education because of the lack of funds to pay school fees. Joseph is a gentle, intelligent and respectful young man. He loves playing soccer.
