Dan lives with his paternal guardian, Robert. His father died of HIV/AIDS and his mother left Dan the year his father passed away, in 2017. Dan's guardian can no longer provide for the boy's basic needs. Dan has many siblings and they live in a small house that is falling apart. The family is Christian and they speak fair English.
