Alex lives with his father and 3 siblings in a tiny brick house.They raise a small garden for a living. Alex was born with albinism and has eye problems. Alex is in grade 4 and loves school. He does very well at school, except sometimes he is sent home because he cannot pay his school fees in time. Besides that, he is also in need of new bedding, sunblock lotion, hat and sunglasses and lip balm for skin and eye protection, and needs new clothes and shoes for school. The family is Catholic and active in church.
