Juliet grew up with her Aunt in the slums of Kamwokya. Her father died when she was still a young girl and her mother abandoned her when she was 12 years old. Juliet was left in the hands of her Aunt who has been her guardian up to now. Unfortunately, because her Aunt also has four children of her own, it has been extremely hard for her to provide for everyone. The Aunt was running a small business of selling roasted plantains, which barely brought in enough for them to live on. Juliet could attend school regularly due to the lack of finances to pay for school fees. However, in 2010 ECM came to her rescue and enrolled Juliet in to the education sponsorship program and continued supporting her until she was able to complete her last year of high school. She then enrolled for a course to acquire her certificate in catering and hotel management, which she completed in 2019! She is now part of the Next Step program and applied for a business grant but needs some extra help to be able to start up her business, so that she can transition fully into independence and be able to support herself!  She needs a total of $1300 to start her business. Could you be the one to give her hope and come alongside her in this final leg of her journey with ECM?
